View of Timanfaya, Lanzarote - Fine Art photography print
Original photograph by Angela Larotonda
Set in the southwest of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, The Timanfaya National Park has an area of 51 km² and was declared UNESCO biospherical Reserve in 1993.The surreal lunar landscape that characterises the area is the result of the greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736. The beauty of the landscape is striking and the volcanic area stretches for miles, reflecting a wide spectrum of colors depending on the time of day and the weather.
